Christmas, what is it, how did it come to be and how did it end up so big and treasured? Most of us are raised in communities that treasure this day and celebrate it by setting up parties and family come together. It is termed as a festive season and a happy one where people love one another and share their happiness. Treasured by many, it has corrupted the minds of many hence the hectic travels from the cities back to the village just to celebrate. Is it that it can’t be celebrated within the cities? If yes then I would like to be explained to but if NO then why use double the transport to go celebrate (use more than usual). Spending more than the required in a single day and then we get back to January and they start crying of lack.

Termed as Christmas it is a word derived from two words CHRIST + MASS to mean the mass of Christ meaning it should be honored by the Christians embraced by the whole world, even the pagans followed the suit. What guides a Christian on what is right or wrong? THE BIBLE yeah, I believe you all would agree that it’s the Bible. So, the question is where in the bible do, we have a date set for the birth of Christ? Go to the bible page by page, you will get nothing to prove any day that Christ was born , but just like the Romans convinces people easily, you will always follow that and even set up arguments but the same Bible in JEREMIAH 32 contains a day termed as the 25^th day of the twelfth month of the year where someone in the name of a king who used to kill Christians was set free from prison and the Romans had set a party because he was their king.

One thing I’m yet to understand is why is it that during this period named festive season most people die of accident and some very minor causes. The number of deaths recorded within this season are of a very high percentage. On the exact day the 25^th of the 12^th month of every year the weather will always change at some point and it is the day with many accidents, many shops closed and lots of services brought to a halt.

The treasure that was given to this in the previous days is decreasing and in today’s world most people honor it but it isn’t given the recognition it had in the past .the kids of then could kill you if you didn’t prepare them for Christmas and buy all the required clothes and the foods .nowadays it’s just a norm. don’t be carried away easily by what people say including what I say just stick to the bible and always yearn to getting into the root of things and understand them properly. Bytheway 25^th dec is always my birthday, what an irony!
